China Miéville

China Miéville is an award-winning English fantasy fiction writer, who describes his work as "weird fiction" (after early twentieth century pulp and horror writers such as H. P. Lovecraft). His catalogue of highly acclaimed includes King Rat, Perdido Street Station, The Scar, Iron Council, and Kraken. Miéville's 2009 crime-fantasy novel The City and The City earned him the accolade of being the only writer to have won the Arthur C. Clarke Award three times.
