Our students are unique in their interests and ambitions. The nature of our courses mean that we have students from a variety of subject backgrounds. There is no requirement for students to have taken Art and Design, nor will it be detrimental to your application.

Teaching
Teaching staff in Design Studies at the University of Warwick have a robust background in pedagogy, with experience across all 9 levels of education. We are dedicated to learner-centred education, and employ creative approaches focused on providing a democratised and inclusive curricula.
Design Modules
At the University of Warwick, Design Studies offers modules that cover all spheres of design. This means that students have the opportunity to undertake an experiential learning journey exploring complex areas of design whilst defining their own specialism by testing various paradigms of scholarship and practice, and our modules are also a popular optional choice for students from other departments.
