Perspectives on Self-destruction in Prison and beyond

When: Friday 14th March 2025

Time: 12:00-18:00

Room: Seminar FAB 0.23

About the Event

This event explores questions of self-destruction from a non-pathologising perspective, using queer theory as a theoretical tool to examine the complex relationship between pain, self-inflicted harm, empowerment, and imprisonment. It centers the voices of individuals with lived experience of self-destruction, rather than focusing solely on professional discourses and practices. Funded by Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions: 101032854 and IAS.
