Technology-enhanced learning
Technology is playing an increasing role in our lives and the lives of our students. Consequently, as teachers we are thinking about how technology can be used to facilitate and enhance the learning experiences we offer.
The University is committed to supporting engagement with these approaches and innovations through:
- The Technology Enhanced Learning forum which meets termly to discuss and share views on key issues.
- The Teaching Grid offers a space in which colleagues can learn about new technologies and try things out in practice, in particular combining the use of technology and a flexible space.
- A wide variety of developmental opportunities available for staff from IT Services and the Learning and Development Centre around learning to use the technologies and pedagogical implementation, including a year long postgraduate award.
We also encourage colleagues to explore the practice taking place at other institutions; if you would like to find out more there are a selection case studies availble here.
