Further Detail

This event is aimed at recent graduates (or students graduating soon) who after graduation are currently unsure of what the next step is/should be…

Join Warwick Enterprise, Innovation Group, The University of Warwick for a discussion around ‘What’s next?’

After graduation there are many options you can explore, such as: finding a graduate job, continuing your education, going into academia, but have you ever thought about starting your own project/business? That’s what this workshop will focus on is how you could be supported to start something of your own, and the benefits it can bring.

With so many things changing recently we know that this has impacted individuals and that’s why we want those of you who may be a bit unsure of what the immediate future holds to come along to this workshop to discuss opportunities you may not have thought about as viable options.

Clare Green, Creative and Digital Manager and Debbie Smith, Enterprise Development Officer from Warwick Enterprise will share how Warwick Enterprise can support you, whilst highlighting key upcoming opportunities such as the: Graduate Accelerator and Creative Futures Programme, along with the Ingenuity Challenge for those who may be interested in making a social impact in the following themes: Climate Change, Community, Health and Creating Prosperity. With space, funding and support available, it’s a great time to engage with Warwick Enterprise, so we can support you with your future prospects.

We will also highlight the key enterprise skills that many employers look for, so you can use this information to identify these skills (or opportunities to develop these) so that you can strengthen your CV’s and applications.

Please come along with an open mind, as it’s really important to be open to opportunities at present. Be the master of your own destiny, create your own opportunities.

This is an informal event, please do ask questions, as we want to support you in your career development whether that is getting a graduate job, continuing education or starting something new. There’s no right or wrong, but it is important to be true to yourself and strategic about making the most of your time to create the best opportunities for you in the short, medium and long-term.
