Overseas Institutional Visit (OIV): Dana Roemling
Dana Roemling is on the Applied Linguistics Pathway at the University of Birmingham; their research examines how regional linguistic variation such as dialects, can be used to help law enforcement find the authors of online communication.
Dana undertook a three-month long Overseas Institutional Visit at the University of Helsinki, Finland from February to May 2024
Overseas Institutional Visit (OIV): Victoria Newell
Victoria is on the Psychology Pathway at the University of Nottingham; her research involves adapting a self-harm assessment tool with and for autistic people with and without co-occurring disability.
Victoria undertook a month long Overseas Institutional Visit at the Olga Tennison Autism Research Centre (OTARC) at La Trobe University in May 2024.
Doctoral Event Grant (DEG): PhD Development Day
The PhD Development Day: Publish your Research was held at the University of Nottingham on 11 March 2024, organised by Gilian Nord (Nottingham), Nathan Harrison-Clarke (Nottingham), Matthew Randell (Warwick), and Jade Jenkinson (PhD PlaceLink opens in a new window).

Overseas Institutional Visit (OIV): Tia Bennett
Tia is on the Psychology pathway at the University of Birmingham; her research aims to determine how UK policing should construct identification parades to maximise eyewitness identification accuracy.
She undertook an Overseas Institutional Visit to the University of California, San Diego in November and December 2023.
