Understanding and creating 'impact' in the context of your PhD

Nature of the Session

Impact from your research is becoming increasingly important within academia and the aligned professional disciplines. This hands-on session with help you to understand what impact is, how you can build impact into your research strategy, and the role it will have in your future career development.

The session will be delivered by Professor Nicola Pitchford (Psychology) & Professor Howard Stevenson (Education) both from the University of Nottingham.

Who can attend?

This session is aimed at doctoral students in a Social Sciences discipline, and those taking a Masters in Social Science Research Methods in preparation for a Social Science doctorate. The session is open to any Midlands Graduate School ESRC students from across the consortium as well as Nottingham students.
