Thesis: Crime, Punishment, and Politics Across Generations: A longitudinal multi-cohort study in the UK
Using a cross-cohort comparison of multiple birth-cohort datasets, my project uses advanced quantitative methods on longitudinal birth-cohort data to examine how perceptions and experiences of crime have changed across and within generations in response to the UK’s evolving economic and socio-political landscape from 1958 to present-day.
Biography:
With an academic background in Law (Cambridge, BA) and Development Studies (King’s College London, MA), I have built a keen interest in British politics, crime, class, and race relations. Now pursuing an ESRC-funded PhD at the University of Warwick, my research adopts an intersectional approach to uncover how structural forces influence attitudes toward crime in the UK.
