As well as undertaking his PhD, Tommy has also been involved in organising and teaching at international courses, as follows:

• 12/2015 – Co-organiser and instructor, EU-funded “Fly Neuroscience Workshop: Drosophila as a tool for understanding brain and behaviour,” Kumasi, Ghana
• 07/2016 – Co-organiser, “TReNDinAfrica Whole Exome Sequencing Data Analysis workshop,” Kumasi, Ghana

He has also organised, and continues to be involved in, several outreach activities in Africa, including scientists-in-the classroom events, teacher training in lab skills programmes, and outreach training for undergrads.
