Supervisor Details
Dr. Fatemeh Pourhossein serves as a Research Fellow within Coventry University's Centre for Health and Life Sciences, having joined the bioleaching research team in 2023. Fatemeh obtained her Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering (biotechnology) from Tarbiat Modares University (Iran) in 2020. Her doctoral studies were financially supported by grants from the Iran National Science Foundation (INSF) and the Biotechnology Development Council of Iran. Additionally, she has done part of her research at Università Politecnica delle Marche in Italy. Following her Ph.D., she held a position as a postdoctoral research fellow at TMU (Iran) , aimed to establish a sustainable and comprehensive method for gold recovery from e-waste. Currently, she leads initiatives centered on optimizing and enhancing the bioleaching of metals from solid waste, especially e-waste, enriching her expertise in bioprocess engineering.
