Research Interests
The goal of my research group is to provide guidance in the development, evaluation and implementation of approaches for predicting and improving clinical pharmacokinetics to optimise dosing through medicines optimisation.
Research strands actively pursued within this group are translational and include the techniques of:
- Whole Body Physiologically-Based Pharmacokinetic Modelling
- Population pharmacokinetics
Which are widely applied to a variety of research interests, which include:
- Medicines optimisation
- Deprescribing
- Mental health
- Opioid abuse
- Tropical disease
Scientific Inspiration
Kalpana Chawla. She was the first astronaut of Indian origin to have travelled into the space. She was an aerospace engineer who gained an MSc and PhD before going on to work at NASA. Chawla was one of the crew members who died in the space shuttle Columbia disaster on February 1, 2003.
Rick Sanchez. A protagonist and the central antagonist character. Someone who is as crazy and wild as they come but will come up with imaginative and often dangerous solutions to the problems of life and the universe.
