COVID: from theory to practice

Hi All,

So after 2+ years working on the COVID-19 pandemic, and a long time spent avoiding all risky situations - I've been hit with COVID this week. So this is news from isolation.

A few things to report:

1) Nigel brought cakes in on Tuesday 5th to try to tempt people back to the office. Hopefully we can try to keep Tuesdays as a regular slot where as many of us as possible are around to chat.

2) Ed & Laura have done another fabulous podcast with Bridget (https://sbiderpresents.podbean.com/e/sbider-presents-episode-2/) expect more over the coming weeks - and please voluneer if you have some research you'd like to share with the world.

3) Bridget would also like to remind everyone that there is only 4 days left to apply for a PDRA working with her on the evolution of infectious diseases in realistically-immunogenetically-diverse human populations.

4) I know that Ed & Laura have been at the Health GRP Early Career Researcher Workshop - you'll have to ask them if it was successful / interesting.

5) Finally, in terms of recent publications:
