Arthur is a student on the MSci in Integrated Science integrated Masters course. Arthur successfully obtained Genetics Society funding to support a project in the Penman group in the summer of 2022. Arthur used computational approaches to investigate whether the probable historical distribution of syphilis means that Amerindian populations display greater adaptation to syphilis in their Human Leukocyte Antigen (HLA) genes than non-Amerindian populations.
