Computational Molecular Science 2024

Computational Molecular Science 2024

Many thanks to all speakers, attendees and our sponsors for making CMS2024 a great success!

The 7th Computational Molecular Science (CMS) meeting was held at the University of Warwick (Coventry, UK), between 11-13 September 2024.

CMS2024 brought together a diverse group of 130 computational chemists from across the UK and overseas with 40 different affiliations. The conference featured 5 keynote, 12 invited and 24 contributed talks (overall of which 40% were given by women) in two parallel sessions and gave a well-rounded perspective on the developments in different fields of computational chemistry, ranging from soft and biological matter to energy materials and interfaces.

A poster session with 55 posters contributed to vibrant exchange of ideas among participants, and two PhD students were awarded prizes for their posters. A discussion panel of five panelists from industry and academia allowed early career researchers to hear about diverse career paths in academia and asked their questions.
Friday afternoon concluded with the RSC Theoretical Chemistry Group's Graduate Student Meeting.
