Msc Students

MSc students at the CSC start a week before the university term starts (week zero).

We hold a short induction at 9.30am on the first Monday of your course in room PS0.17 on the ground floor of the Physical Sciences building. We try to make sure that your Personal Tutor is available to meet you then and, apart from sorting out various paperwork, we are there to answer any questions that you might have.

From there the lecturer for the first week of CY900 will take you to start the course.

At 4pm on Friday 30th September, there will be a small reception in the common room in Physical Sciences. Beer, wine, soft drinks, nibbles and the chance to meet some students who have completed the MSc in Scientific Computing.

On the first official day of the start of term, 3rd October 2016, there will be a drinks reception for all Physics students, including CSC students.

This is held on the Science concourse from 4pm. You are all welcome to come and meet the wider group of Physics Postgraduates and academics.

There will be a health & safety talk, which is compulsary. This will be held in PS1.28 (Physical Sciences) at 11AM on Monday the 3rd of October.
