2.7 Shells in emacs

Another useful feature of emacs is that you can run a shell in emacs. Just type the command Alt-x shell and hit return. This gives you a shell prompt, from which you can do all the things you can normally do with an x-term. Sometimes it's very useful to have a split screen where one half is a shell and the other half is the file you are editing.
