2026 Workshop on AI for Multimedia Forensics & Disinformation Detection Workshop
organized at the 19th European Conference on Computer Vision – ECCV 2026
September 8 – 13th, 2026
in Malmö, Sweden
The third edition of the AI4MFDD workshop is intended to disseminate recent developments in AI-enabled multimedia forensics and disinformation detection methods. Multimedia data carries not only value in its content but also value in digital forensics for combating crimes and fraudulent activities. Hence, the AI4MFDD workshop is highly relevant to the computer vision community as images and videos represent the main type of data associated with disinformation. The AI4MFDD 2026 workshop attracts international participants not only from academia but also from law enforcement, industry, and end-users. We invite submissions on the following topics, especially solutions that leverage multiple modalities in the data, i.e., video/images, audio, and text:
Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
- Multimedia forgery detection
- Forensic techniques for multimedia repurposing detection
- Deepfake detection and deepfake dataset creation
- Multimedia content integrity verification and copyright protection through intrinsic and extrinsic data
- Techniques to quantitatively assess the credibility of multimedia data
- Disinformation detection and disinformation dataset creation, including the analysis and detection of propaganda and hoaxes
- Online platform provenance analysis methods that reveal the sharing history of multimedia data
- Analysis of disinformation creation and distribution through social networks
- Sybil nodes and Sybil network detection
- Anti-forensics and counter anti-forensics measures
- Novel application of techniques to multimedia forensic cases, particularly those involving law enforcement and industry
