About the CDT
Mobility systems are rapidly evolving, driven by technological advances, social trends and economic models. Both public and private agencies have a pivotal role to play in shaping these changes and this new cohort focused centre, with direct industrial involvement, responds to these emerging sectorial skills needs.
The future of mobility is changing – get on board!
The Centre for Doctoral Training to Advance the Deployment of Future Mobility Technologies (CDT FMT) was established in 2019 by The School of Engineering and WMG, with an initial cohort of students across two streams: Wide Bandgap Power Electronics (WBG PE) and Connected and Autonomous Vehicles (CAV)
The CDT vision is to develop multidisciplinary future research leaders with the creativity, skills and in-depth knowledge to transform the mobility of people and goods for the benefit of UK society and industry in an electrically intensive energy future.
