Wide Bandgap Power Electronics
Stream 1 will focus on the underpinning technologies for mobility applications and their connectivity to electrical power grids and networks through the emerging UK industry in Wide-Bandgap Power Electronics.
Students will undertake core modules from the School of Engineering MSc programmes, plus an optional module to complete the year one requirements.
Core modules for Stream 1:
-
Power Systems and Electrical Machines
-
Power Electronic Converters & Devices
-
Advanced Power Electronic Converters and Devices
-
Control of Electrical Drives
-
Operation and Control of Power Systems
All students will have full access to additional modules on research skills, business, ethics, social responsibility and policy.
Industrial sponsors and relevant external partners will deliver specific training and illustrative lectures throughout the programme.
