About the Fresh Produce Knowledge Exchange Hub
The Fresh Produce Knowledge Exchange Hub is the UK's centralised KE hub that supports growers and advisors in the horticultural sectors of field vegetables, protected vegetables, soft fruit, and tree fruit. The hub is designed to sort and link all relevant resources for the sector, providing links to knowledge providers such as the AHDB horticulture archive, CABI, research institutes, commercial resources and relevant webinars. It is primarily designed for growers and agronomists but will also be useful for students and policy makers.
The hub also hosts the vegetable crop pest bulletin, monthly webinars on topics relevant to the fresh produce sector and will feature a chatbot to provide the industry with reliable and trusted answers to questions relevant to fresh produce. It will ensure that new knowledge is accessible, and that previous knowledge is not lost from the industry. It keeps the wealth of past AHDB research alive, searchable, and relevant.
The hub acts as a centralised site for growers and agronomists to be linked to resources upon which they can learn from. Self learning is one of the most used and trusted learning avenues for UK farmers1.
