Andrew Hilditch

Andrew graduated in 2022 with a PhD in Mathematics for Real-World Systems.

Andrew's PhD was on data-driven design of robust, resilient and intention-based scheduling algorithms for digital railways.

PhD Research

Andrew worked in the area of data science on large data sets. After processing the data, he applied analysis techniques to find applicable real-world solutions to the issues identified. The data Andrew worked with is publicly available from Network Rail's Data feeds.

Background

Andrew graduated from Manchester Metropolitan University in 2017 with a BSC in Mathematics and a few months later started his studies at Warwick. Andrew's undergraduate degree course focussed mostly on applied maths and his final year project was on Controlled Drug Release from Swelling Hydrogels. This project looked at partial-differential equations in detail.
