How to form a good relationship with the sonographers?
Hello I'm Emma from Leeds Teaching Hospitals
Up until now interaction with our sonographers has been non-existent! This is due to our referrals coming directly from Drs/Midwives in ANC/ANDU. The way our referrals work is if a sonographer detects a baby above the 90th centile they refer the woman to ANDU for review or the woman is already being seen in ANC for review. However as recruitment has tailed off I'll be visiting them once a week now so will et you know how that goes. Would be great to hear tips from other sites :-)

We are probably quite similar to you Emma. Our antenatal ultrasound department are all aware of the study but we don't receive any referrals from them. Would also love some tips on how to overcome this issue!

How to form a good relationship with the sonographers?

We're struggling with our sonographers as well. We invited them to attend the SIV & one of them did come, we have posters up in the department & a 'reminder' poster in each of the scan rooms but still don't seem to be getting the numbers from them. Therefore we are dependent upon ADU & ANC picking them up when they are referred on.
Any tips would be appreciated

I have emailed the sonographer in charge and asked if I can meet with her........... will et you know if it comes off and what she says.
