Case Mix Adjustment

This research is exploring determinant pre-intervention factors of Return Of Spontaneous Circulation (ROSC) at hospital transfer and survival to hospital discharge (SHD) from out-of-hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA) in the UK, and developing and evaluating risk prediction models of survival outcomes. Recent studies have recognised a range of case-mix and process factors for ROSC at hospital transfer and SHD, but this study will focus on pre-emergency medical service (EMS) intervention variables in order to avoid the potential impact of EMS intervention on the survival rates. It is examining data from 2013/2014.
