Information for health professionals

INTRODUCTION
ReSTORe is focusing on stroke survivors’ post-hospital admission, specifically those who are between 6 to 36 months post-discharge. The trial is testing the effectiveness of a remote rehabilitation programme on improving health-related quality of life for people with mild to moderate physical and/or mental health disability after stroke. The rehabilitation will be delivered online via a central hub of specialists.
RECRUITMENT
Recruitment to the ReSTORe study closed on 28th April, and we successfully reached our target of 696 participants.
Recruitment was supported through Patient Identification Centre (PIC) sites, primarily GP practices along with NIHR Be Part of Research. To further increase recruitment, we also partnered with NHS DigiTrials (NHS England) to distribute bulk invitation letters to potential participants.
For sites that were set up to ReSTORe and have not yet received a close-down letter, please email restore@warwick.ac.uk for next steps.
