Breaks

For many international students, trips back home are often the highlights of the year. Since home can be quite far, having longer breaks is usually the most practical and ideal arrangement. Below are approximate dates for when extended breaks typically fall across the four years at Warwick Medical School.

Year 1

Winter break ~ 3 weeks

Easter break ~ 3 weeks

Year 1 to Year 2 ~ 8 weeks

Year 2

Winter break ~ 3.5 weeks

Year 2 to Year 3 ~ 8 weeks

Year 3

Winter break ~ 2 weeks

Year 3 to Year 4 = 2 weeks (if accumulated 10 days planned leave, this break can be extended to 4 weeks! 1 week before break and 1 week after)

Year 4

Winter break ~ 2 weeks

Post exam and elective period ~ 8 week (if elective is done in home country)
