Every incoming students (first years + second year transfers) will receive the following:

  • iPad Mini (6th Generation)
  • Apple Pencil (generation 2)

ITS log-in details from the university

you will have been given a unique Warwick user code. This starts with a 'u' followed by a string of 7 digits (eg. uxxxxxxx). This string of numbers is unique to each student and used as an identifier here at Warwick.

Any login done in the entire University will use this user code as your username (uxxxxxxx) and your own password.
 

Microsoft Office 365

Microsoft productivity tools available with the student email provided by the university. Includes Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, Publisher, PowerPoint, Teams & OneDrive for Business. Useful when using Microsoft services in hospitals.

WIFI in Medical School

Warwick staff and students must use their ITS username (uxxxxxxx) followed by @warwick.ac.uk to login to the eduroam service on campus with ITS password.

You will be given instructions on staff email (xxxx@uhcw.nhs.uk) and account activation. You can then use the email and password you have created to log into the staff Wifi

Incision Academy

Delivers information on surgical procedures, anatomy and skills. Resource provides 3D digital anatomy models and course for various surgical procedure. Warwick Medical School has curated resources to supplement learning. Free access using institutional login.

Curated Warwick programs available for supplementing course learning

iResus

Collection of the latest critical care algorithms from Guidelines 2021 developed by Resuscitation Council UK. Very useful in Phase 2 and Phase 3 when attending acute care simulations.

MDCalc

A calculator used to calculate clinical scores and direct treatment plans and investigations. This calculator cannot be used in exams and popular clinical scores calculations might come up, so this should not be used as a replacement of knowledge but as a quick access tool in clinical placement

BNF/BNFc

Go-to reference for safe, evidence-based prescribing in the UK. It provides up-to-date guidance on drug doses, interactions, side effects, and prescribing in special groups like children and the elderly. Will be the only resource available when doing the WPA (Warwick Prescribing Assessment) and PSA (prescribing safety assessment) in Phase 3. The university will advise more in 3rd year.
