CP

Clinical Partnerships (CPs)

At the start of Phase II, you are asked to choose a clinical partner (CP). This is someone who will be assigned to the same timetable as you for all Trust, community and GP teaching throughout Phase II.

You should only choose a CP based at the same Trust as you in Year 1, as most students will be based at the same trust for Year 2. Note: you can change CPs at the start of Phase 3.

The plan is that you stay together until you graduate!

DON'T

Leave it to chance if at all possible! You might not get along / work well with this person!

DON'T

Choose someone you live with. If things falter it can get toxic and all your housemates can unintentionally become collateral damage

DON'T

Do the romantic thing either, that can go spectacularly wrong! Keep that outside work!
