For my experimental biology mini-project, I looked at the annealing rate of microtubules, and whether this rate could be affected by the addition of proteins (in particular, Alp14).

Tubulin was fluorescently labelled using two different activated esters, to more easily distinguish an annealing event. The video below is an example of the annealed microtubules.
