Fresh evidence for how water reached earth found in asteroid debris

New research from Warwick's Astronomy and Astrophysics Group strongly suggests that water is reaching other planetary systems via asteroids or comets, in the same way it did on Earth.

The research finds evidence for numerous planetary bodies, including asteroids and comets, containing large amounts of water. These findings further support the possibility that water can be delivered to Earth-like planets via such bodies to create a suitable environment for the formation of life.
