Placement, Outreach and Engagement

Thank you for your interest in this placement opportunity! We are always excited to meet and work with new and returning organisations.

This voluntary placement connects talented final year Psychology students with a range of host organisations, including charities, NGOs, government departments, community centres and groups, private companies, and other clients.

The module is typically ten weeks in length, from October to December, and involves between 50 and 60 hours of work experience (delivered by organisations like yours) and around 100 hours of academic seminars (delivered on campus, by us!).

The placement hours can be undertaken on-site, remotely, or as a combination of on-site and remote work. This info pack will give you an overview of the module, including the benefits of providing one (or more) of our students the opportunity to volunteer with your organisation and the support available before and during the placement (click to download info pack).

To discuss this opportunity, please contact Dr Gitit Kadar-Satat: gitit.kadar-satat@warwick.ac.uk. We are looking forward to hearing from you!

'Placement, Outreach and Engagement' is a unique module that combines work experience with academic seminars.

This module offers Psychology students an opportunity to volunteer with an organisation to support, design, develop and deliver resources for outreach and public engagement, including:

  • marketing material

  • social media communications

  • community events

  • presentations and workshops

  • research and impact reports

  • teaching resources etc.

Our department would be happy to help you with developing a project that will contribute to your organisation and support the professional development of the student.
