GlaxoSmithKline (Mar '10 - Sept '10) - patch-clamp, hERG channel assays performed to investigate cardiovascular safety implications for developing drugs.

Biosensor R&D

Sphere Medical (Sept '08 - Mar '10) - Develop novel formulations for first generation glucose biosensors. Develop and implement methodology for electropolymerisation of glucose biosensor. Collect FDA submission data for 5-sensor medical devices in-house and at Birmingham University Hospital.

Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics

GlaxoSmithKline ('05, '06, '07, '08 summer placements) - Formulation analysis performed to test solubility and stability of developing drugs in organic matrices by LC-UV, LC-MS/MS and UPLC-UV.
