Profesor Greg Swain, Visiting Lecturer, 4.00 pm MOAC Seminar Room 7th July

Professor Greg Swain
Professor Greg Swain will be visiting the Centre on Thursday 7th July and will be giving a talk entitled "Probing Neural Signaling Processes in the Gastrointestinal Tract Using Diamond Microelectrodes".

Professor Swain's group research is centered in the discipline of analytical and physical electrochemistry. The current work spans the fields of electroanalytical chemistry, neuroscience, materials for energy storage and conversion, and corrosion science. We are particularly interested in understanding how the physicochemical and electronic properties of carbon electrodes affect the kinetics and mechanisms of heterogeneous electron-transfer reactions.
