In 2014 the WMG STAR Awards were launched, an event that was designed to give special thanks and recognition to all members of staff within the department while also highlighting specific individual and team contributions.

The evening begins with thanks from Professor Lord Kumar Bhattacharyya, Chairman of WMG, for the successes achieved throughout the year, followed by the presentation of awards, including the Chairman’s Award for Outstanding Contribution, Support Staff Member of the Year and Team of the Year.

This event now takes place annually at the end of each summer term.
