Research with impact, education for life.

The desire to drive innovation, creating real impact for industry and society, is at our core.

Our collaborative R&D creates solutions to industry challenges across a huge range of sectors. Our education programmes enable us to transfer that knowledge to develop the skills base and leaders
of the future.

But we can’t do any of this without talented people.

We’re seeking skilled, enthusiastic and ambitious individuals who share our core values of creativity and innovation, customer focus, entrepreneurship, flexibility, professionalism, respect and teamwork.

Rewards and benefits

As a member of staff at Warwick you can enjoy a wide range of competitive benefits, along with excellent learning and development opportunities. We respect and reward achievement and recognise the importance of a flexible total reward package. Take a look at the benefits that are on offer and how to access them.

Working at WMG

Our people enjoy all the typical benefits you would expect from a top ten UK university, but unlike a typical university department, we think and operate much more like a medium-sized business. We have over 720 staff and associates who support our work; in fact we're the largest department in the University both in terms of number of employees and our research income (we contribute around 38% of the University's total research income).

We encourage everyone to be creative, and to contribute towards pushing the department ever forwards. There is often the opportunity to get involved with projects that might normally be considered outside of a standard job description. There is good interaction between research, education, technical and professional support staff, and expertise is shared around the department according to need. There are also lots of opportunities to get involved with how the department operates, for example we run frequent workshops and seminars in order to share ideas and solve problems together.

Our facilities are excellent, and we're right at the heart of the campus. Read about our buildings and centres.

University environment

We're a vibrant campus University, just 3 miles from the centre of Coventry. Our site is almost a mini-town in itself, and also offers several picturesque walking, running and cycling routes that take in woods, lakes and natural wildlife areas.

Warwick Sport

Our sporting facilities are world class, and include a gym, 25 metre swimming pool, a competition standard climbing wall, an indoor tennis centre and various tracks and sports pitches around campus.

Library

Our library is so much more than the physical spaces and books. We want you to be able to access everything you need - services, spaces or collections – and make the most of what we have to offer.

Food and drink

You're never far away from a good cup of coffee and a tasty treat. Across campus you'll find a wide variety of coffee shops, sit-down restaurants, takeaway vendors, bars and pubs, and even fine dining options. Our monthly Food Market is also not to be missed.

Warwick Retail

A range of retail outlets offer a convenient work and study environment. These include a supermarket, a Post Office counter, a Health Centre and Pharmacy, bank branches and ATMs, hair salon, and the University Bookshop.

Warwick Arts Centre

A multi-venue arts complex - the largest of its kind in the UK outside of London, attracting around 300,000 visitors per year - Warwick Arts Centre is a regular stop for a wide variety of theatre, music, dance, and film. During the working day, the Arts Centre also provides an attractive space for refreshments and meals, offering both a cafe and restaurant.
