Profile

Ruth graduated from the University of Exeter with a BSc in Renewable Energy in 2010 and joined the Materials and Manufacturing research group at WMG as a Research assistant. She has worked on a number of industrially-focused materials research projects, including the iComposites Sustainability Grand Challenge, which investigated the incentives for recycling composite wind turbine blades.

In October 2012 she joined the Multifunctional Systems research group after being offered an EPSRC DTG doctoral award to undertake a PhD at the University. She is currently researching multilayer manufacturing of photovolatic solar cells and will move into the new International Institute for Nanocomposites Manufacturing (IINM) when it is completed.
