This course is accredited by the National School of Healthcare Science as part of Health Education England.
Completion of the programme confers eligibility to apply to the Academy for Healthcare Science for registration.
There is a recognised need for a new Healthcare Science Practitioner educated in ‘fusion sciences’, perhaps best described as a Digital Healthcare Scientist.
This course will give you a breadth of scientific training including high-level consultation skills, a holistic, evidence-based and values-based approach to shared decision making, psychology, behavioural science and clinical physiology. You will also develop the knowledge and skills to work with the digital technologies which play an ever increasing role in supporting health and wellbeing.
Along with this, you will also develop valuable study and professional skills including data handling, statistics, research ethics and methods, literature review skills and critical appraisal, standards of conduct performance and ethics. In developing the programme, we have entered extensive consultation with leading healthcare science academics, senior NHS staff and policy makers.
