Sophie Staniszewska appointed as NIHR Senior Investigator
We’re delighted that our project's PPIE Co-lead, Professor Staniszewska, has been appointed by the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) to join their college of senior investigators, recognised for the quality and global reach of their research.
Sophie is an international expert in Patient and Public Involvement (PPI) and leads the Patient Experiences Programme within Warwick Medical School. She is currently working with Professor Gill Dix, Meanu Bajwa-Patel and the Co-Production Group on the Patient Involvement and Engagement workstream of the Creating Healthy Jobs project.
Sophie said: “I am absolutely delighted to become an NIHR Senior Investigator and incredibly grateful to all the public contributors and community organisations I have worked with over the many years, who always inspire me, challenge me and remind me why public involvement in research is so vital for our future health. Embedding PPI in research on employment – rather than in health and social care – presents new challenges. The Creating Healthy Jobs project is an important opportunity to co-develop and extend approaches in this field.”
