How do I use this calendar?

You can click on an event to display further information about it.

The toolbar above the calendar has buttons to view different events. Use the left and right arrow icons to view events in the past and future. The button inbetween returns you to today's view. The button to the right of this shows a mini-calendar to let you quickly jump to any date.

The dropdown box on the right allows you to see a different view of the calendar, such as an agenda or a termly view.

If this calendar has tags, you can use the labelled checkboxes at the top of the page to select just the tags you wish to view, and then click "Show selected". The calendar will be redisplayed with just the events related to these tags, making it easier to find what you're looking for.

Economics Winter Graduation Reception 2024

Congratulations to all our Postgraduate students who will be graduating this Winter.

On Monday 15 January, our Postgraduate students will be awarded their degrees in the afternoon graduation ceremony which will take place in the Warwick Arts Centre.

Later in the day, graduates along with their family and friends are invited to join academic and administrative staff from the Department of Economics to celebrate their graduation success and achievements for an evening reception of drinks, food and music, starting at 4.30pm in the Chancellors Suite, Rootes Building.

From all the staff in the Department we want to congratulate you on your achievements during your time at Warwick. Your graduation is a fitting reward for all the hard work that you have put into your studies. We wish you all the best in the next part of your journey and look forward to hearing about your future endeavours and successes.

Reception Registration

We hope you are able to join us at the Graduation Reception following the ceremony for celebratory drinks, food and music. For catering purposes, registration is required in order to attend the reception. Also, please indicate how many people you will be bringing with you (up to a max of 4). If you would like to bring more guests then please e-mail us at economics.pgoffice@warwick.ac.uk.

Registration will close midnight on Wednesday 10 January.

Heidegger Reading Group

Heidegger Reading Group

We are happy to announce that the Heidegger Reading Group will continue in term 2! This time, we will read a couple of Heidegger’s essays, starting with “What is Metaphysics?” today. We will decide on the other readings successively, but they will for example include ‘On the Essence of Ground’ and the ‘Letter on Humanism’. Everybody is invited to join. Additionally, we will stream the reading group via Microsoft Teams so that Haley Burke can join from Texas; if you cannot attend in person and would like to participate online as well, please get in touch with Frido.

 

Time: every Monday during term, 5-6.30 p.m. (08. January – 11. March 2024)
