Research Workshop at the University of Warwick
12–14 March 2014

André Broome and Joel Quirk organized an intensive research workshop on Benchmarking in Global Governance at the University of Warwick, UK.

  • The workshop was attended by 30 participants including leading scholars from the UK, Denmark, Norway, Canada, and South Africa.
  • The event included a stakeholder engagement session with civil society representatives from CIVICUS, the Bretton Woods Project, and Anti-Slavery International, as well as the presentation and discussion of ten research papers on the practice of benchmarking in global governance.
  • Nine papers from the Benchmarking in Global Governance Workshop were published in the 2015 Special Issue of Review of International Studies on ‘The politics of numbers: the normative agendas of global benchmarking’
