Dr Jacob Hasselbalch is an Associate Fellow in the Centre for the Study of Globalisation and Regionalisation and is a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Business and Politics, Copenhagen Business School. He currently works on the Horizon 2020 research project ‘European Legitimacy in Governing through Hard Times: the Role of European Networks’ (ENLIGHTEN), and has previously worked for the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS).

Dr Hasselbalch’s research examines the the political and societal implications of disruptive technologies. His current work studies the challenges disruptive technologies present when they cause dramatic shifts in the arrangements of markets and organizations, and how regulators and civil society react to, take part in, and shape those changes.
