Mindgrad 2004 Programme
This programme marks the inaugural MindGrad conference, launched in 2004 at Warwick under the Warwick Mind and Action Research Centre (WMA). Entirely organised by graduate students, MindGrad brings together early-career philosophers and established scholars to explore the philosophy of mind. Its distinctive format—invited talks with graduate responses and peer-reviewed student papers—reflects Warwick’s commitment to graduate-led research. Now celebrating its 20th anniversary, MindGrad has helped launch many academic careers. One 2004 speaker, Richard Price, went on to found Academia.edu, a platform now used by millions to share and discuss academic work worldwide.
