We also focus on enriching the student experience through effective communications, engaging events, and amplifying the student voice. Sally Blakeman
Operations Manager (External Engagement and Student Experience)
Sally Blakeman is a highly experienced higher education professional with 25 years in the sector, having previously worked in CLL, WMS and Education Studies at Warwick. She is passionate about enhancing the student experience through innovative partnerships with students and alumni. As the leader of the new External Engagement and Student Experience Team, Sally is committed to building strong relationships across SELCS and the wider University. Outside of work, Sally enjoys quality time with her cavapoo, Martha, and is a big fan of silent discos.

Leads on the development and implementation of external engagement activity and student experience and engagement activities across SELCS.
Charlotte Doughty
Student Experience and Engagement Officer (Maternity Leave)
Charlotte joined the University of Warwick in 2013 and has worked across four academic departments, including Economics, Engineering, Law, and now SELCS. She has taken on various responsibilities in student administration, student experience and engagement, event management, student recruitment, as well as widening participation and outreach. Charlotte has a passion for marketing communications and is currently undertaking an IDM Diploma in Marketing with the Institute of Data & Marketing to support her experience.
Charlotte is due to commence maternity leave on 17 February 2025 and plans to return in May 2026.
Leads on student comms across SELCS, including newsletters and social media.
Manages key student voice activities, including national student survey comms and capturing the student voice through focus groups.
Responsible for the planning and delivery of student experience activities and opportunities across SELCS.
Adam Alcock
Student Experience and Engagement Officer (Maternity Cover)
Adam is an experienced Student Experience professional with many years of experience working across both the Social Science and Science faculties in roles related to student voice, communications, engagement, and experience. In his previous role in Chemistry, Adam worked on projects centred around restoring student community engagement post-pandemic, championing student voice for positive change, and supporting student access and success.
Adam is currently covering Charlotte's maternity leave until the end of February 2026.
Leads on student comms across SELCS, including newsletters and social media.
Manages key student voice activities, including national student survey comms and capturing the student voice through focus groups.
Responsible for the planning and delivery of student experience activities and opportunities across SELCS.
Danielle is a teacher with 16 years of experience, including expertise in teacher recruitment and freelance education consultancy. Her passion lies in supporting people to grow and thrive, and she is a natural communicator who champions all avenues that encourage the cultivation of character education. Danielle is highly motivated to work within SELCS to further enhance and develop the valuable work that is taking place. Her biggest achievement is being a proud mother to her beautiful son. What you may not know about her is that she can stilt walk!
Works closely with Marketing, Communications and Insights (MC&I) colleagues to implement the School’s marketing and recruitment strategy, including co-ordinating recruitment and conversion activities.
Develops and maintains alumni engagement across SELCS.
Contributes to the School’s community engagement strategy, working with colleagues in SELCS and the central University Regional Engagement Team.
Kiran comes from a Marketing background with most of her experience gained within the Higher Education sector. She is looking forward to using her skills to support with Marketing and Recruitment activities within SELCS. When she’snot working, Kiran enjoys watching football (Liverpool in particular) and discovering new books / TV shows – any recommendations would be welcome!
Works with the External Engagement Officer to co-ordinate recruitment and conversion activities, including responsibility for organising online recruitment events.
Recruits and supports student ambassadors assisting with recruitment and conversion activities, particularly open days and offer holder open days, and calling campaigns and social media campaigns for offer holders.
Provides administrative support on SELCS alumni and community engagement activities.
Anna Moosun
Senior Administrator (Student Experience and Engagement)
Anna brings a decade of marketing expertise to the SELCS team. When she's not working part-time, she's chasing after her lively 1-year-old son. Anna previously worked at Warwick 9 years ago and has since gained diverse experience across private student living, brand design agencies, and running her own business. Passionate about her work, she brings energy and enthusiasm to every project.
Supports effective student comms (currently in Applied Linguistics and CLL), including creating newsletters, providing social media content and updating webpages.
Plans and supports the delivery of student experience events across SELCs, including academic skills and employability events.
Contributes to the promotion of national surveys to SELCS students.
Rachael Smith
Senior Administrator (Student Experience and Engagement)
Rachael has over 20 years experience in the marketing and communications profession, and is focused on delivering impactful communications within the SELCS team and expanding her knowledge of the Student Experience. Rachael currently works 2.5 days a week, which allows her to spend quality time on her days off, looking after her beautiful granddaughters, Lilah and Nellie.
Supports effective student comms (currently in CTE and Education Studies), including creating newsletters, providing social media content and updating webpages.
Plans and supports the delivery of student experience events across SELCs, including academic skills and employability events.
Contributes to the promotion of national surveys to SELCS students.
