How do I use this calendar?

You can click on an event to display further information about it.

The toolbar above the calendar has buttons to view different events. Use the left and right arrow icons to view events in the past and future. The button inbetween returns you to today's view. The button to the right of this shows a mini-calendar to let you quickly jump to any date.

The dropdown box on the right allows you to see a different view of the calendar, such as an agenda or a termly view.

If this calendar has tags, you can use the labelled checkboxes at the top of the page to select just the tags you wish to view, and then click "Show selected". The calendar will be redisplayed with just the events related to these tags, making it easier to find what you're looking for.

This series offers an overview of the state of women’s rights and wellbeing in Global South societies and discuss persisting injustices, such as unequal access to basic services, such as health and education, by investigating decision-making and bargaining power within the household and the relationship between these and gender discriminatory perceptions reinforced at the societal legal. Additionally, it provides a platform to two contrasting investigations on the relationship of women with feminism. On one hand, evidence of grief as a feminist tool for activism and solidarity has women in the MENA region take ownership of non-violent discourse to counter state-sanctioned violence. On the other, a study shows how and why young Chinese women are actively distancing themselves from a feminist identity against the backdrop of a rising feminist movement in the Global South.

  • Taoyuan Luo: "'Feminist’ as a problematic tag: young Chinese women distancing themselves from a feminist identity and the rising feminist zeal"
  • Islam Al Khatib: "Re-purposing Solidarity: Grief as a Feminist Tool in the MENA"
  • Abena Nyarkoa: "What factors help us understand the academic achievement of a small group of Ghanaian girls from disadvantaged backgrounds? Participants lived experiences"
  • Sritama Manda: "Gender and Health in India"
