In-sessional Calendar
We are pleased to offer tailored in-sessional English support for Term 3 to help students with academic writing and presentation skills:

Weeks 32–37: Weekly Dissertation Writing Workshops and Presentation Skills Sessions.

Writing Surgeries
When: First two weeks of Term 3- Weeks 30(w/c 21 Apr 25) &31(w/c 28 Apr 25) and last two weeks of Term 3-Week 38(w/c 16 Jun 25) &39(w/c 23 Jun 25).
Writing surgeries are booked individual appointments designed for you to bring a sample of your writing to discuss. This could be a piece for which you’ve received feedback or work you’re preparing to submit.

What We Can Offer:
- Specific guidance on English language aspects of your writing.
- Personalized feedback based on the sample you bring.
Please note: We are unable to proofread essays during the surgeries but can provide specific language guidance. If you can’t attend at the listed times, email us, and we’ll do our best to accommodate your needs.
Dissertation Writing Workshops & Presentation Skills Sessions
When: From Week 32(w/c 5 May 25) to Week 37(w/c 9 Jun 25).
What to Expect:

Dissertation Writing Workshops (3 hours per week): Focused on structuring and refining your dissertation writing.

Presentation Skills Sessions (1 hour per week): Practical strategies for improving clarity, confidence, and delivery in academic presentations.
No booking required – simply attend the sessions that suit your schedule!
