My Bio
I graduated from Oxford in 1983 with an MA in Mathematics. Whilst at College, I had been sponsored by Rolls-Royce so when I completed my studies, I worked for them as a scientific programmer in a support department writing code to solve a variety of engineering problems. In 1987 I decided on a complete change of course and did a PGCE at Oxford. After qualifying I taught in a state comprehensive in Maidenhead for 3 years. In 1991 I joined Repton school as a teacher of Mathematics until I left in April 2022. In my time, I was responsible for implementing the school’s first MIS system and I also ran the Mathematics department successfully for 15 years. In addition I wrote the school timetable for about 10 years. I also spent 14 years living in a girl’s boarding house which my wife ran so I was also heavily involved in the pastoral side of the school. In April 2023 I joined the Warwick IFP programme.
