student accommodation
What about accommodation?

You will be able to apply for on-campus accommodation for the duration of the Pre-Sessional course, if you are studying one of the Postgraduate face-to-face courses.

Pre-Sessional English students are not able to take over a current student's campus accommodation contract and are advised not to arrange a sublet with another student privately. You will be able to apply for your own on-campus accommodation in due course.

Course Delivery Mode

Students on our Postgraduate Pre-sessional English courses will study face-to-face, on campus for the 10-week programme. 6-week students have the option to study face-to-face on campus or online.

Students on our Undergraduate Pre-sessional English course will study online only.

If you have any questions or concerns about the delivery modes, please do contact the teamLink opens in a new window for guidance.

When can I apply for my visa?

If you are joining our Postgraduate Pre-Sessional English face-to-face courses and are an international student from outside of Europe, or an EU, EEA or Swiss student (but not Irish) who has not lived in the UK before, then you will need to make a Student visa application, if you do not already hold a visa for the UK that confers the right to study.

You will need to have received a CAS (Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies) number from the University before making a Student visa application.

You will receive either a Joint CAS covering both the Pre-Sessional English and main Postgraduate course, or a Single CAS for the Pre-Sessional English course.

More information about when and how you will receive your CAS can be found here.

Further information about applying for your visa can be found on the University's immigration webpages.

Course Fees

You will need to pay the remainder of your course fees in full, ahead of the course start date. You can do this online, via our online payment system.

Please make sure that you have read the Terms and ConditionsLink opens in a new window before making any payments.
