Communications

There are numerous ways that we communicate as a Department, both internally and externally.

Within the Department, staff receive monthly newsletters, termly Department Meetings, as well as ad hoc communications via Teams and email. Each year, there is also an Away Day in September.

To promote the Department and our portfolio externally, we have a presence across a range of social media - staff are encouraged to engage with this wherever they would like:

Department Newsletters

Our Department Newsletters are shared at the start of each month with a recap of what's happened during the previous month, a look at what's coming up, and drawing your attention to key information.

If you have a news item or event you would like included in the monthly newsletter, please email .

Departmental Away Day and Meetings

There is an annual Away Day in September before the start of term which is compulsory for all staff to attend.

Departmental meetings are hosted termly by the Head of Department and all members of staff are expected to attend. Where possible the meetings will be held face to face and lunch will be included.

The meeting dates can be found on the departmental calendar.

Teams

WGA have a Microsoft Team that all staff are added to when they join the Department. Within the Team, you'll find a General Channel, an IFP Teachers Channel, and an Office Chat channel.

Teams is used to share quick updates and general information between all members of the Department.

Brand and Templates

If you are looking to create any materials or documents and would like to make sure that you're 'on brand', the University's brand portalLink opens in a new window should be your first port of call. You will need to sign-in to the brand portal using your

@live.warwick.ac.uk email address and your usual password.

You can also speak to either Libby Comyn or Alison Durham for support within the department, and we have a range of templates that we can share. Templates can be found within the WGA Document Library.
