Warwick has a strong and clear research strategy that calls on us to address the world’s most pressing challenges, but also to lead by creating new research ideas. Warwick is also determined to be a leading global university, building connections with individuals and institutions who see the world as a place that can be transformed by learning and working together.

Through a broader programme of events and initiatives, the IAA will also continue to support the enhancement of skills and culture around knowledge exchange within Warwick's social science community, building on Warwick's success in developing innovative ways to share the benefits of social sciences research.

Our interdisciplinary research is internationally-leading and impactful. It's helping to make lives healthier, safer, more resilient and more just.

 

Training:

The workshop will equip participants with a comprehensive understanding of the UK research landscape and impact within it, alongside practical advice on how best to explore pathways to impact from different disciplines. It will incorporate a presentation from the R&IS Impact Team and Q&As will be encouraged throughout. Examples of best practice will be considered.

How to cope with the media.

The Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) defines research impact as: "The demonstrable contribution that excellent research makes to society and the economy."

    The University of Warwick is playing its part in tackling the climate emergency. Building on our existing research and education programmes and our connections to industry and society, we’re focusing on The Way to Sustainable – the real-life implications of creating a sustainable future and the practical challenges of getting there.

    The UN Sustainable Development Goals inform how Warwick defines, approaches and addresses sustainability. These important goals highlight the complex interdependencies between environmental, social and economic sustainability by connecting the themes of People, Planet, Prosperity, Peace and Partnership.
