The ISMA Group that aims to achieve excellence in research, teaching, and societal impact, with a special emphasis on analytics research, particularly in Financial Technology (FinTech) and Artificial Intelligence (AI), alongside strengthening our research themes in Information Systems and Innovation.
With an ambitious research agenda that reflects its positioning at a productive interface between studies of Information Systems and Innovation, Digital Technology, and Data Science and Operational Research to shape the future of organisations and society at large. The group performs extremely well on research outputs (ranked 10thinternationally for a basket of top journals by the Association for Information Systems (AIS), the international disciplinary association for the IS discipline). ISMA group is committed to developing cutting-edge research that leads debate and deepens our understanding of business and management practices. ISMA group also houses the Gillmore Centre for Financial Technology and the Artificial Intelligence Innovation Network(AiiN). Our faculty hold editorial positions in top-tier academic journals, including MIS Quarterly, Information Systems Research, and Organization Science. We have an active group of doctoral students at various stages of their PhD research.
Our teaching focused faculty are recognised internationally, nationally as well as within the university community for their excellence in teaching practice and are having a global impact in transforming higher education.
