We are continuing our search for top-flight talent to join our outstanding faculty. Applications are invited at the level of Assistant Professor in Strategy and/or International Business.

We are looking for ambitious scholars who will contribute to the existing lines of research within the Strategy and International Business (SIB) group. The successful candidates will have: completed or be near completion of their doctoral thesis, a demonstrable capacity to publish at the very top level and also an ambitious future research agenda. Evidence of an emerging record of publishing in high quality academic journals would be an advantage. Further details about the SIB group at WBS:

Our research identity: we conduct world-class research in the areas of strategy and international business, employing a variety of research approaches. These include econometric and statistical analysis, formal and computational modeling, qualitative case studies, discourse analysis and ethnography. Our areas of interest include modes and processes of internationalization, knowledge transfer in multinationals, strategy as practice and process, innovation dynamics, technology and market emergence, complexity and uncertainty, and behavioral strategy.

Our teaching approach: we offer engaging and stimulating teaching sessions, invest in the preparation of high quality, globally-oriented teaching materials such as leading textbooks and in-depth cases, conduct research on teaching effectiveness, develop innovative teaching methods, link our thought leadership with our teaching, and develop our faculty’s teaching competence.

Our approach and ambitions: we attract and develop promising young scholars as well as global research leaders. We have ambitious targets for our research work, and we refine our research to ensure it is competitive at the highest levels of publication. We organize and attend leading conferences and offer sessions and professional development workshops, develop international research collaborations and networks, offer media expert commentary, and make contributions to practice and public policy. We are collegial and developmental, sharing our expertise and support with both our colleagues and our collaborators. Of particular interest are people who are “boundary spanners” either methodologically or theoretically between our distinct areas of strength.
